Description
SOLVENT BASED CONCRETE CURE & SEAL
2500 LV-UV is the industry standard 25% solids, solvent-based acrylic concrete cure and seal. It's low viscosity, UV resistance and easy spraying characteristics make this sealer a contractor favorite.
2500 LV-UV forms a durable, moisture retentive film on freshly placed concrete surfaces, slowing evaporation and allowing the concrete to properly cure. The durable acrylic film then continues to protect the concrete during and after construction. 2500 LV-UV is non-yellowing and meets ASTM C-309 specifications for Cure & Seals.
2500 LV-UV is available in both "standard VOC" and "low VOC" to accommodate laws in most regulated areas of the U.S. Like most "low VOC" solvent-based products, the "low VOC" version dries faster than the standard version. for this reason we recommend special care be taken to avoid application of this version in hot temperatures or direct sunlight. The "low VOC" version is great in situations where a fast-drying product is needed, no matter what your local regs are.

Cleaning and Preparation Instructions
Concrete surface must be clean and free of all contaminants and water. Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours. If moisture is present or if the surface is not clean and free of all contaminants, the sealer may have white spots and have premature delamination and failure. May be applied when damp (not wet) to freshly placed concrete surfaces as a curing compound. Horizontal surfaces must be finished and show no sheen from bleed water.
Application Instructions
Always test in an inconspicuous area before use to ensure compatibility and desired results!
2500 LV-UV may be applied using a solvent resistant roller or industrial concrete sprayer.
Make sure all sprinklers are turned off for a 24 hour period of time. Apply 2500 LV-UV only if rain is not expected for at least 24 hours. Do not apply 2500 LV-UV if surface temperature is below 40° F., or above 80° F. If possible always apply as concrete is cooling, rather than as concrete is warming. Warming by the sun causes the air inside the concrete to expand and push out through the surface, often causing bubbles in the still wet sealer.
Of course, having the right tools will make your job easier, so scroll to the bottom to see our recommended Sprayers, Rollers and Application Tools!
Coverage Rates
Coverage rates are approximate and will vary depending on substrate density, porosity, temperature, application method and desired appearance.
PLEASE NOTE: When using as a curing compound, apply only one coat at a rate of 250-350 sq. ft. / gallon to meet specifications. Extreme bubbling and/or hazing may occur due to lack of permeability.
Freshly Placed Concrete: 250-350 sq. ft. / gallon
Fully Cured Exposed Aggregate: 100-125 sq. ft. / gallon (total project estimate)
1st coat - 175-225 sq. ft / gallon
2nd coat - 225-275 sq. ft / gallon
Fully Cured Broom Swept Concrete: 125-150 sq. ft. / gallon (total project estimate)
1st coat - 225-275 sq. ft / gallon
2nd coat - 275-325 sq. ft / gallon
Maintenance
Like all things, maintaining optimal protection of a sealed surface requires scheduled maintenance. Once properly applied, surfaces sealed with 2500 LV-UV may periodically require a light cleaning to remove dirt, dust, mud, etc. In most cases, low pressure water is all that is needed for routine cleaning. Do not use a hot-water pressure washer unless you are preparing to apply a maintenance coat of 2500 LV-UV. Re-seal surface every two years or as needed to prevent buildup of sealer.
