Description
CLUTCH PLATES & RISERS
The correct clutch plate is required to mount all rotary and Diamabrush tools to your machine.
The NP-9200 TRU-FIT® Universal Clutch Plate (A) in the chart below, is the universal clutch plate that fits most standard counter-clockwise rotation floor machines on the market today. It is designed to attach quickly and easily, as well as flex vertically and compress horizontally to reduce machine wobble and operator fatigue. The NP-9200 fits a 5" center hole. This plate is available with or without a 1-1/4" riser.
Selecting The Right Plate
1. What is the make and model number of the machine the tool will be used on?
Open the Machine Reference Guide above. The machine manufacturers are listed in alphabetical order. Once your brand of machine is found, continue down until you find the correct model. By reading across, you can then determine the correct clutch plate required for your specific machine. Clutch plates are available for most machines on the market. If you don't see your specific machine or plate listed, give us a call. Malish also offers other, special application clutch plates for certain machines.
2. What is a Riser? Do I need one?
A riser is a simple spacer that is mounted between the clutch plate and tool. For most Diamabrush or Mal-Grit Brush applications, the tool diameter should be ordered 2" smaller than the stated machine size if you wish for the tool to fit up inside the housing of the machine. If you wish for your new tool to extend all the way to the edge of your machine housing, you need a riser to allow the desired diameter tool to drop below the housing and extend outwards toward or past the edge of the machine housing.
